Managing Drivers
This guide walks you through how to create, configure, and manage drivers (users or vehicles) in the eMabler Charge Point Management System (CPMS), including setting up access and RFID-based authentication.
1. Creating a New Driver
Go to Drivers > Click “Add”
Enter required fields:
Name (required)
Home site (for operator visibility)
RFID and optional details like start/expiration dates
External ID (optional)
Site/Charger Access to define where charging is allowed
Save the driver profile
2. RFID Tag Management
Drivers may have one or more RFID tags
Tags can have:
Validity period (start/end date)
Custom labels
All tags share the same access permissions
Tags can be added, edited, or deactivated as needed
3. Home Site Concept
Used for grouping and operator visibility
Does not grant charging permissions
Drivers must still be granted site or charger access explicitly
4. Managing Access Permissions
Drivers can be authorized for:
Entire sites (including subsites)
Individual chargers (if fine-grained control is needed)
To Add Access:
Go to driver profile → Site Access or Charger Access → Add
To Remove Access:
Click “Remove” and select target sites/chargers
5. Authentication Methods
Drivers can authenticate via:
RFID/NFC tags
ISO15118 (Vehicle VIN / MAC)
License plate recognition
PIN codes
Bluetooth proximity
Authentication must be supported by the specific charger.
6. Editing Driver Info
Editable fields: Name, Home Site, External ID, RFID, Access
All updates take effect immediately
Accessible under each driver profile
